Came across the pictures in an email my sister sent me. She lives in central Texas down near Austin. In other words deer country, so encounters with deer on roads are common. Usually the damage is not quite this severe but never the less damage can and does occur as is clearly seen in this instance. What happened in this case was a driver in front of the red truck first clipped the deer sending it straight up into the air. The deer then came down on top of the red truck entering into the windshield where it was severed in half. The head portion of the poor animal actually landed on top of the passenger and miraculously she was not injured. Really ads to the importance of maintaining a safe distance between you and the car in front of you. Warning these pictures are graphic. If your squeamish stop reading here!
